James is an elder of Straitgate Church, a non-denominational inner-city Minneapolis church which hehas attended since birth. Straitgate was founded by James’s father, Roger Magnuson, from whomJames inherited an interest in protecting the rights of the less fortunate, and a zeal for advocacy in arighteous cause.
